TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Between September of 1991 and July of 1992 I worked at the University of Wolverhampton (England) as a Full-time Spanish Language Assistant and Part-time Teacher of Catalan.
My responsibilities as a Spanish Language Assistant consisted of up to 15 hours weekly of classes, including directing structured conversation classes across a wide range of courses and levels, on occasions in conjunction with the relevant Group Tutor but frequently on my own.
Teaching the Catalan course involved four hours of classes over one semester, taught as a Level 2 module as part of the BA (hons) Modern Languages Degree Program. Duties included having sole responsibility for the course content and teaching strategies.
During the spring of 2007 I taught several modules of the Computational Translation Masters Degree at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). This masters degree program was created to train translation professionals in new industry-related tools covering a wide range of subjects including project management, web translation, quality controls, marketing tips, etc.
Between 1992 and 1993 I taught part-time English classes at the Escola d'idiomes Edist in Sant Adrià de Besòs.
My responsibilities included teaching classes across a wide range of courses and levels and directing structured conversation classes.
