Served as an elected official as Councilman in the public administration of the Sant Adrià de Besòs City Hall (a city adjacent to Barcelona, population 34,761). During my eight years in office I was in charge of the following Departments:

• Department of Economic Development (2007-2011): Responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the local strategies and policies related to all aspects of employment, training and job assessment. Also responsible for the implementation and follow-up of the ISO quality system.

• Technology Department (2003-2011): Responsible for designing, developing and overseeing all the technological and systems strategies and also for designing, developing and overseeing the e-administration systems and procedures.

• Constituent's Service Office (2003-2011): responsible for implementing and overseeing the local strategy of the Constituent Service Office and also for designing, developing and overseeing the implementation of updated virtual office systems.
